Dr Khanna graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Bio-Medical Engineering. He trained with leading spine surgeons at RUSH and Washington University in St Louis.
A recognized leader in minimally invasive spine surgery, Dr Khanna has participated in the development of techniques like MAS PLIF, which significantly reduce post-operative discomfort. He is an associate editor for SPINE and the International Journal of Spine Surgery.
Dr Khanna believes in a conservative, individualized approach to care. His expertise includes cervical disc replacement and he is a pioneer in performing outpatient spine procedures that allow for faster recovery. His focus on spinal alignment aims to provide patients with long-lasting results.
He is a frequent lecturer and his extensive research has been published in numerous medical journals and presented at national and international spine meetings. He has also received over 33 patient care awards, including two lifetime achievement awards.
